The international language makes use of six extra letters not used in most other languages: Ĉ, Ĝ, Ĥ, Ĵ, Ŝ and Ŭ. In a pinch, you can often substitute Cx, Gx, Hx, Jx, Sx and Ux, but this is somewhat ugly and can be harder to read. With the wide availability of Unicode fonts these days, all you really need is a good input method that is easy and natural for you. The method you choose is up to you, but some systems are devised only for the Macintosh operating system and may not be available for Windows, or vice-versa. Linux or UNIX computers may have yet another method, and similarly, iOS and Android devices will each have apps designed for that particular environment.
